Why Blackpool & Morecambe for beer gardens?

Blackpool and Morecambe are Lancashire's two great seaside towns — and both punch well above their weight for pub culture. Blackpool's South Shore and the Promenade strip are home to dozens of pubs with outdoor terraces, many catching the strong westerly afternoon sun off the Irish Sea. On a warm summer evening, there's nowhere quite like a sea-view beer garden with a pint in hand.

Morecambe is already partially covered by Golden Pints — we track several Morecambe pubs as part of our Lancaster network. When we expand fully, we'll cover the whole bay: from Sandylands to the West End, capturing every terrace that catches the famous Morecambe Bay sunsets.

Blackpool is next in our expansion roadmap after Preston. With millions of visitors per year and a coastline that faces directly west into the afternoon sun, the demand for a real-time beer garden sun tracker is enormous. If you run a pub in Blackpool and want to be listed from day one, get in touch.
